Journey to Zero-X: Enabling Autonomous Self-Management Framework in Private 5G Networks

Since 2023, there has been a trend towards emphasizing network control, especially among large enterprises seeking to improve internal autonomy. This paper outlines a self-management framework designed to enable autonomous management in private 5G networks. Our framework addresses manual management challenges by incorporating four essential capabilities: self-configuration to enhance connectivity quality, self-optimization to improve streaming performance, self-healing for expedited obstacle resolution, and self-protection to ensure network security. By employing this framework, we establish an autonomous network within private 5G networks, providing users with a Zero-X experience.

Abstract

Since 2023, there has been a trend towards emphasizing network control, especially among large enterprises seeking to improve internal autonomy. This paper outlines a self-management framework designed to enable autonomous management in private 5G networks. Our framework addresses manual management challenges by incorporating four essential capabilities: self-configuration to enhance connectivity quality, self-optimization to improve streaming performance, self-healing for expedited obstacle resolution, and self-protection to ensure network security. By employing this framework, we establish an autonomous network within private 5G networks, providing users with a Zero-X experience.
