Differential-Based Non-Contact Optical Sensor for Transient Signal Measurement Method and System
The paper proposes a non-contact measurement method and system for railway transportation based on optical sensors, aiming to address the issues associated with traditional track measurement methods, such as equipment wear, high operational difficulty, and impacts on the track system caused by contact-based measurements. The paper first analyzes the requirements and challenges of railway transportation measurement, introduces the working principle and advantages of non-contact optical sensors, and designs a non-contact measurement system tailored to the specific needs of railway transportation. The system uses high-precision optical sensors to capture geometric parameters of the track in real-time, such as track gauge, track height, and track smoothness, while avoiding physical contact with the track. Experimental validation of the system demonstrates the feasibility and superiority of the method in railway transportation measurements, as it not only improves measurement accuracy but also effectively reduces interference and human error during the measurement process. Finally, the paper looks ahead to the future applications and development directions of this measurement method, proposing further improvements to the system's stability and adaptability to meet the growing measurement demands of railway transportation.
