Comparative Study of Various Antenna Substrates for Brain Tumor Detection

A performance comparison of brain tumor detection using different antenna substrate materials, such as natural rubber and silicon rubber substrates, is highlighted here. This paper analyzes the impact of these substrates on the designed microstrip patch antenna. Substrates made of silicon and natural rubber with the same relative permittivity were considered for the analysis. To improve performance of the antenna, a ground plane having circular Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) is provided and is simulated through HFSS software. The proposed antenna measured and compared the gain, return loss, and specific absorption rate (SAR) of these materials.
