Design of DWT-based OFDM Model for Underwater Applications
Acoustic underwater communication is the most effective method of achieving Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) underwater communication. The literature review section on various error coding and modulation strategies for underwater communication is examined and contrasted in this work. As MIMO-OFDM is current research ideas in which many researchers can come out of this paper. The Review focuses more on improving BER rate and also many encoding and decoding techniques used in various papers is been shown in a pictorial form. Also, The DWT based OFDM model is designed in MATLAB for AWGN channel and underwater channel and comparison of the results with reference to Bit Error rate. The results of different modulation schemes with 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit of bit stream transmission over AWGN channel using DWT based OFDM is analyzed and conclusion is discussed. The novelty of the paper is the DWT based OFDM model designed for different datarate and with RS Encoder & Convolutional encoder and Viterbi decoder and comparing the results for best BER for underwater communication.
