The Design of a Miniaturized Dual-frequency Monopole Antenna Applied to the Electricity Meter
Artificially creating a high-frequency and high-voltage interference source to disrupt the normal operation of the electricity meter. When the interference is removed, the smart electricity meter can resume normal metering. This kind of electricity theft behavior is very concealed. Therefore, it is necessary to install a circuit for monitoring the disturbance of the meter, and designing a receiving antenna for the meter facing the radio frequency interference source is the basis. A miniaturized, simple-structured dual-frequency monopole antenna is proposed. Two inverted L-shaped structures are adopted, and microstrip line feeding is used to realize the design of the dual-frequency monopole antenna. The center frequencies are 2.14 GHz and 5.43 GHz respectively, and the thickness of the dielectric layer is 1.52 mm. The simulation results show that the antenna has good working characteristics in the two frequency bands, obtaining impedance bandwidths of 90 MHz and 280 MHz respectively. The antenna has a simple structure, and the overall size is only 40 mm × 40 mm × 1.52 mm, meeting the miniaturization requirements of the antenna.
