Flexible Scheduling Optimization of Four-Way Shuttle Systems Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm
The four-way shuttle system, known for its high level of automation and strong handling capacity, is widely used in flexible automated warehousing systems. To enhance operational efficiency, this study establishes an optimization model for the scheduling of multiple four-way shuttles, targeting order completion time, minimal energy consumption, and shortest travel paths. An improved genetic algorithm is proposed to solve this model, providing optimal solutions for order allocation. By testing the algorithm under different system parameters, results show that the improved genetic algorithm achieves at least a 25% improvement in optimization efficiency compared to traditional genetic algorithms.
