Design and Finite Element Analysis of a 4MW Pumped Storage Doubly-Fed Induction Generator
This article primarily focuses on the electromagnetic design and finite element analysis of a 4MW doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based on its rated parameters and relevant performance indicators. Firstly, utilizing the rated parameters, design principles, and relevant experience of the DFIG, the dimensions, number of pole pairs, slot count for both stator and rotor, as well as the selection of slot shapes for the DFIG are determined. Subsequently, the calculated parameters are input into the ANSYS/RMxprt module to conduct electromagnetic calculations for the motor, with adjustments made to any unreasonable parameters. Finally, to further analyze the performance of the DFIG, the ANSYS Maxwell 2D module is utilized to perform finite element analysis on the motor under no-load and load conditions, further confirming the rationality of the motor design.
