A Speed Estimation Method for Gear System Based on Cyclic and Vibration Spectrums
Rotational speed is a critical parameter for the monitoring and fault diagnosis of industrial equipment. However, some industrial sites lack speed measurement devices, necessitating accurate speed estimation through vibration signals. The presence of low-frequency interference components and high-frequency aliasing sidebands in the complex vibration spectrum of the transmission system severely impacts the precision of speed frequency search. To address this issue, a method for estimating the rotational speed of gear transmission systems based on cyclic spectrum analysis of low-resolution vibration signals is proposed. By utilizing the cyclic spectrum to obtain a reference rotational frequency less susceptible to interference, and combining it with the equivalent velocity spectrum of vibration signals, the method effectively estimates the rotational components of the gear system. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through practical case studies.
