The Impact of Different Environments on Lightning Induced Voltages of 10kV Overhead Lines

In order to reduce the loss caused by lightning events of 10kV overhead line, combined with the basic theory of circuit, power system analysis and electromagnetism, a lightning induction model of 10kV overhead line was established by using finite element software, and the influence of different factors on the lightning induction voltage of 10kV overhead line was studied by simulation test. The simulation results show that: With the increase of soil conductivity, the lightning induced voltage of overhead line decreases. As the height of the overhead line increases, the lightning-induced voltage also rises. The electric field intensity varies at different points on the overhead line due to lightning-induced voltage, with higher intensity and opposite polarity at both ends. It can be seen that increasing the soil conductivity and reducing the height of the overhead line can reduce the lightning induced voltage of the overhead line. The results of this simulation test have positive significance for the design and optimization of the overhead line lightning safety evaluation and optimization of the lightning protection devices of the power grid.
