The Impact of Authoring Tools-Based Interactive Media Implementation on Student Learning Motivation

The use of technology as Indonesian language learning media is an alternative to help overcome student learning problems. Through technology, such as Interactive Authoring Tools media, students can learn Indonesian independently, more easily, comfortably, and according to their abilities. This study aims to 1) develop interactive media on explanatory text material, 2) determine the feasibility of the developed media, and 3) determine the increase in student learning motivation after using interactive media. Using the 4D model R&D method by Thiagarajan (1974), the results showed that this interactive media was declared ‘Very Feasible’ with an Aiken index of 88.37, and was able to increase student learning motivation with a gain score of 0.68 ‘medium category’. The implication of this research shows that technology-based interactive learning media, such as Interactive Authoring Tools, effectively supports independent learning and is worth integrating in the curriculum to increase learning motivation. This research also opens up opportunities for the development of learning media innovations and further research related to technology in education.
