Development of Falabic: an Interactive Arabic Learning Application using Augmented Reality
Language development is very important to develop from an early age to make it easier for children to interact with people around them. One of the important languages to learn is Arabic, because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an and based on the RISSC (Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center) report in 2023, Indonesia has 237,558,000 Muslim population, which is equivalent to 86.7% of the total 274 million Indonesian population. In the process of learning Arabic, the media that is often used comes from books and the internet. However, the delivery of information in Arabic learning books is only in the form of text and two-dimensional images. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop an interactive Arabic learning book using Augmented Reality. The research method used is MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle). The application is tested using several methods such as black-box testing, usability testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) and significance test. The results of black-box testing show that all functions in the application have run as expected. The usability testing results get a success rate of 100%. UAT results from respondents get a very good scale from the aspects of books, applications, and games. The results of the significance test using the paired t test show t<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">count</inf>>t<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">table</inf> so it is concluded that there is a significant increase in children’s understanding and knowledge of Arabic language learning using educational media.
