Automated test bench for measuring the response of an acousto-electronic sensor to the influence of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride of different concentrations

The paper describes the development of an automated test bench for measuring the response of an acousto-electronic sensor to the impact of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride of varying concentrations. The results of sensor readings obtained using the automated bench were compared with the reference readings of the sensor obtained manually. It is shown that the automated bench provides a stable, repeatable and accurate result in the range of fluid flow rates in the setup of 1–5 ml/min. The used acousto-electronic sensor is most sensitive to changes in the concentration of an aqueous solution of sodium chloride in the range from 0 to 0.3 mol/l. The developed automated bench allows simplifying and accelerating the measurement process. Further, the idea of an automated rig based on an acousto-electronic sensor can be used to create a system for long-term monitoring of water or other liquids properties.
