Advances in CAR-T cell therapy in HCC

Because of the limited efficacy of conventional therapies, Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a global health concern. A new therapeutic strategy, chimeric antigen receptor T-cells (CAR-T), has demonstrated considerable potential in treating HCC. This paper reviews the structure and mechanism and clinical application of CAR-T cells to treat HCC, with a particular focus on experimental research targeting different antigens and the combination of CAR-T CAR-T and other therapies.
