Research progress of G protein-coupled receptor drugs in nervous system diseases

This review explores the research progress of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) in neurological diseases, highlights the central role of GPCRs in the regulation of cognitive function and mood, and discusses their potential therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. This review also covers the importance of adhering GPCRs (aGPCRs) in neurodevelopment and discusses the application of structural biology, gene editing, and artificial intelligence in GPCR drug development. Future studies will focus on revealing the detailed mechanism of action of GPCRs to develop more effective therapies.
