On the extreme values of the correlator of topological similarity of functionals from the statistics of geomagnetic field measurements for spatially separated magnetometers in the period before the 06/02/2023 earthquake of magnitude 7.8 in Eastern Tu

A method for determining the harbingers of an upcoming earthquake is proposed, based on the effect of the appearance before the event of a high level of topological similarity of statistical functionals from a set of geomagnetic field measurements carried out at geographically mutually distant magnetovariation stations. The properties of the statistical functional from a set of magnetic field measurements carried out from January 22 to February 6, 2023 at magnetovariation stations located in Turkey, Crimea and Austria are investigated. It is shown that 116 hours before the event, the process of “final preparation” for the approaching earthquake began. Later, 52 hours before the earthquake, a situation arose that this process developed so strongly that its influence began to seriously affect the properties of the statistics of magnetic field measurements at remote magnetometers.
