Theoretical study of ionization dynamics under chirped few-cycle laser pulses
In this paper, we investigate the ionization dynamics of Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Phosphorus atoms subjected to chirped femtosecond laser pulses, with a focus on how chirp parameters affect ionization rates. Our analysis reveals that ionization efficiency is notably enhanced with longer pulse durations achieved through higher chirp values. This finding aligns with existing theories suggesting the pivotal role of extended laser-atom interaction times in optimizing ionization processes. Moreover, we elucidate the cumulative impact of increased pulse cycles on ionization rates, further solidifying our understanding of the ionization mechanism. This study provides valuable insights for optimizing laser parameters in applications requiring precise ionization control, advancing our understanding of ultrafast laser-atom interactions.
