Designing geometries in SolidWorks for heat transfer simulations in ANSYS
Simulation tools, notably ANSYS, have revolutionized the design, analysis, and optimization approach in various engineering domains, including developing Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTGs) and other energy conversion systems. This study delves into the multifaceted advantages of utilizing ANSYS, ranging from enhancing design accuracy to facilitating innovative solutions in thermal management and energy efficiency. Then, the ANSYS report for RTG is studied and investigated in terms of heat transfer and temperature distribution to choose the best geometry, structure, and fins. This study serves as an educational exploration of ANSYS, providing foundational insights into its applications for designing and optimizing energy systems.
