„Stay at Work“ – ein ressourcenorientiertes Konzept fullt eine Lucke
„Stay at Work“ – a resource-oriented concept fills a gap Introduction: The “Stay at Work” (SaW) concept offers a resource-oriented perspective on employees who work continuously despite health restrictions and do not show increased absenteeism. Method: In the present study, data from the lidA cohort study are used to investigate the phenomenon of SaW within the middle-aged working population cross-sectionally. Results: The results show that SaW employees often have more favorable personal and work-related resources than employees with frequent periods of incapacity for work. In particular, work factors such as leadership quality and influence at work seem to be key influencing factors. Nevertheless, they also represent a potentially vulnerable group. Conclusions: This article takes a first step towards a better scientific classification of SaW and shows how this perspective can strengthen occupational prevention work in Germany. Keywords: Stay at Work – working with illness – employment history – employability – occupational safety – corporate health management
