CATALYTIC OXIDATION OF EXHAUST GASES ON ALUMINOSILICATE CATALYSTS TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY OF TRANSPORT

A number of aluminosilicate-based materials with catalytic properties have been synthesized electrochemically. Each prototype was studied in photocatalytic degradation reactions of the model organic compound 4-{[4-(diethylamino)phenyl](phenyl)methylene}-N,N-diethylcyclohexa-2,5-diene-1-iminium hydroxalate belonging to the triphenylmethane series. It is shown that the obtained catalysts exhibit high catalytic activity: the degree of destruction of organic compounds was about 90% in 60 minutes. The dependence of the photocatalytic activity of materials on the irradiation wavelength, synthesis conditions, and textural characteristics of the obtained samples has been established. A mechanism of catalytic decomposition of a model organic compound is proposed.
