A novel non-contact measurement method for CPVA centrifugal pendulum motion analysis compound of machine vision and dial

This article mainly discusses a non-contact CPVA centrifugal pendulum motion measurement method based on machine vision and combined with a dial. The methodology involves measuring motion on rotating objects. This method utilises the Halcon machine vision library, which has the characteristics of high precision and efficiency in the measurement process. It achieves high-precision measurement of CPVA centrifugal pendulum motion through non-contact methods. By establishing a 3D model similar to the motion principle of CPVA to render animations and outputting them frame by frame, the experimental process recognises each frame of the image through machine vision. The dial is used as a reference to obtain a specific scale coordinate and recognise the other markers to obtain its coordinates. Finally, the displacement and angle of the pendulum are indirectly measured through geometric calculations, and the calculation results are optimised to improve the accuracy of the algorithm. The experimental results show that, this method can effectively improve measurement accuracy and efficiency, providing strong data support for other research on CPVA motion.
