A cognitive approach to the study of proverbs about a woman with a negative connotation Summary This article discusses the cognitive approach to the study of paremiological units. Proverbs about women are subjected to cognitive analysis. In Russian, the image of a woman is one of the central concepts of the worldview. The study showed that not only the concept itself is important in the structure of the proverb, but also the cognitive feature of this concept found in it. It is the particular cognitive features that create the semantic structure of the proverb.
