Stability evaluation of Sanjiaoao landslide area in Mayang County, Hunan based on van Genuchten/GeoStudio
This paper takes the Sanjiaoao landslide area in Mayang County, Hunan Province as the research object, based on analyzing the geological and geomorphological features of the Sanjiaoao landslide area in Hunan Province and the characteristics of human activities, evaluating the infiltration coefficient of the soil under different geologic conditions with the van Genuchten model, and utilizing the Seep module in the GeoStudio software to analyze the seepage of the landslides under different precipitation conditions, the Slope module to analyze the stability coefficient and damage probability of landslides under different conditions. The stability coefficient and damage probability of landslides under different working conditions, under natural working conditions, the stability coefficient of landslides is 1.153, basically no extensive sliding occurs, the stability of landslides decreases under rainfall conditions, and the stability coefficient of landslides under the condition of heavy rainfall of one in 20 years is 0.553, and the probability of breakage is as high as 96%. Countermeasures for landslide risk management are proposed, such as the installation of landslide deformation monitoring equipment and the mobilization of residents to prevent landslide disasters and ensure the life, health and property safety of local residents.
