About the History of the Problem of Activation of Human Cognitive Activity Summary The study established that the education of primary school students is a specific process and has special didactic patterns. The most important of them is the cognitive activity of students. This pattern follows from the essence of the process of educational and cognitive activity aimed at understanding and assimilation of the material being studied. Problems associated with the development of human cognitive activity have been covered for centuries by pedagogy, psychology, philosophy and other sciences and today continue to arouse great interest among researchers. The foundations of theoretical and methodological approaches to solving the current problem are reflected in many fundamental works from the ancient period to the present day. In our article, among the important aspects of the problem, its psychological, pedagogical and social aspects are revealed.
