Multiple models comparison for topographic correction of GF-2 satellite images
Topographic correction is essential for processing remote sensing images with substantial terrain variations. However, the high-spatial-resolution image atmospheric correction automatic processing system (QUAAC) built by the author team lacks the function of topographic correction, which affects the ability to conduct subsequent research on remote sensing images with terrain effects. Therefore, under the premise of meeting engineering and business requirements, we conducted a study by comparing several common topographic correction models, analyzing their correction effects on GF-2 satellite images, and integrating the better-performing model into QUAAC to establish a more comprehensive and effective remote sensing data preprocessing process. Based on visual comparison, quantitative analysis, and algorithm applicability, the VECA model is more suitable for topographic correction of GF-2 satellite images in QUAAC.
