It is mainly spoken in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and is an official language in some countries. Research shows that there are lexical and pronunciation differences between American and British English. American English is distinguished by its unique pronunciation and vocabulary. These differences have been influenced by historical, social, and cultural factors. Nevertheless, speakers of both variants can easily understand each other. In the future, new influences and globalization may further increase these differences.
