Primary ureteral anastomosis: Ureteroureterostomy
•Different methods of ureteral repair are reviewed with primary focus on ureteroureterostomy.•Principles of ureteral anastomosis and considerations are reviewed.•Given overall comparable complication rate, ureteroureterostomy can be used as another method of ureteral repair.
