Nevada
The state of Nevada convenes every two years to pass a biennium budget. During this session state policymakers considered the implications of the revised state funding formula and revisions to the states school choice programs including increases of the tax credit cap for the state’s opportunity scholarship. This state school finance synoptic manuscript provides an overview of the legislation related to P-20 funding, including Nevada’s funding priorities for P-12 and/or higher education, changes to the school funding formula, and the major human resources management initiatives funded by the biennium budget.
