Anti-HCV antibodies: A battle for breadth and potency
• HCV, influenza, and HIV neutralizing monoclonal antibodies (NmAbs) vary in potency. • HCV NmAbs exhibit broad neutralization but have lower potency than HIV and SARS-CoV-2 NmAbs. • A potential trade-off between breadth and potency is observed, particularly in HCV NmAbs. • HEPC74 is the only HCV NmAb demonstrating both high breadth and potency. • Optimizing HCV vaccine strategies requires inducing both potent and broad neutralizing responses.
