STUDY OF ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION USING PELTIER MODULE

Relevance Alternative energy based on wind and solar power is nowadays quite common, but the dependence on weather and time of day, high initial cost and difficulties in utilization make us think about other sources of renew- able energy. The module under consideration, based on the Seebeck effect, generates power in small watts, which can be applied to low power con- sumption electronics. Aim of research The aim of the study is efficient power generation based on the utiliza- tion of the Seebeck effect. Research methods Physical basics of thermoelectricity, mathematical modeling. Results The study developed a model for generating electricity from a heat source and analyzed the use of Peltier module for electricity generation. Using candle as heat source and ice as coolant, the design module will produce a total output voltage of 7.6 V and DC current of 4.3 mA with a total power of 31.64 W, which is enough to charge a cell phone, for example.
