The paper considers one of the most important parameters of the car, such as operational reliability. The article defines methods to extend the life of the vehicle. It is established that the application of the proposed methods in the article makes it possible to achieve maximum efficiency of technical operation, while minimizing financial and time costs for the maintenance and replacement of transport.
