ASSESSMENT OF THE POSSIBILITY OF OBTAINING CERAMIC BRICK FROM TECHNOGENIC PRODUCTS

To obtain high-quality bricks, it is necessary to use natural clay raw materials with an aluminum oxide content of at least 20% and fluxes (to reduce the firing temperature of the ceramic shard) containing more than 5% R2O. However, most clays in the Russian Federation do not meet these requirements and are low-plastic and non-caking. The low quality of clay raw materials requires the development of semi-dry pressing technology, the use of special, often energy-intensive, methods for preparing the raw mix, or modification of the composition with additives of targeted action. In this regard, there is a need to study the possibility of replacing clay raw materials with various types of waste. At the same time, dogmatic documents of the Russian Federation require finding rational ways to use industrial waste and products of technogenic origin in construction. The authors showed the possibility of obtaining high-quality ceramic bricks from products of technogenic origin (intershale clay and hydraulic ash). The resulting ceramic brick has a strength grade of M200 and frost resistance of F50 and can be used for the construction of load-bearing walls as ordinary and facing products.
