THE STATE OF GATEWAY AND DOCK-SIDE CONSTRUCTIONS AND WAYS TO IMPROVE THEIR SERVICE RELIABILITY
The concrete river structures of gateway and dock-side facilities are subject to intensive destruction. The main causes of which are alternating wetting and drying, freezing and defrosting in water saturated state, exposure to aggressive media, mechanical wear and impact loads during ice skating, etc. The article presents the results of a survey of the state of concrete of various gateway and dock-side facilities. The main reasons and proposals for effective concrete quality assurance techniques are summarized.
