Uso de etanol anidro na gasolina e suas implicações ambientais: um estudo na Amazônia Oriental
Gasoline is one of the most used fuels in Brazil. It is essential that it meets quality standards to avoid problems in motor vehicles and environmental impacts. In this context, the present research aimed to determine the appearance, color and anhydrous ethanol content in type C gasoline sold in the municipality of Macapá – AP. Eleven 1 L samples were collected and transported in appropriate containers to the natural sciences laboratory at Escola Estadual Mário Quirino da Silva. Collection took place from March to May 2024. The appearance and color of the samples were in accordance with current legislation (clear and free of impurities, yellow color). However, anhydrous ethanol levels in gasoline ranged from 25% to 30%, with two samples outside the legal limit of 27%. Therefore, our study reinforces the need for greater oversight and highlights the crucial role of the consumer in demanding fuel quality testing.
