Substitution of inorganic fertilizer with solid organic fertilizer on maize to increase yield in inceptisol soil

Abstract This research objective is to get inorganic and organic fertilizer combination for the purpose to decrease dose at using inorganic fertilizer without degrading growth and yield of maize. The experiment was conducted in Kepung Subdistrict, Kediri Regency, from May to September 2018, using RBD with six treatments and four replications, namely were : A = Control; B = Recommended Dose of Inorganic Fertilizer (RDIF); C = RDIF + 2 tons Solid Organic Fertilizer (SOF) ha −1 ; D = ¾ RDIF + 3 tons SOF ha −1 ; E = ½ RDIF + 4 tons SOF ha −1 ; and F = ¼ RDIF + 5 tons SOF ha −1 .The results showed the application of 3 tons SOF ha −1 with ¾ RDIF (D) which was 9.11 tons.ha −1 , increase yield untill 12.47% compare RDIF and can substitute the use of RDIF by 25%. The highest Relative Agronomic Effectiveness (RAE) value is 125,77% in the RDIF + 3 tons SOF ha −1 (D), The economic approach is by calculating the R/C ratio, the treatment with the highest RAE is the R/C ratio of 2.79 with a net income of IDR 23,382,000.
