Correlation between type, sex of chicken and organic fermented diet on the performance and sexual maturity of local hybrid layer
Abstract The aim of the research was to determine the correlation between sex, type of chicken and the provision of organic fermented diet as a source of calcium, phosphorus and organic protein on the performance and sexual maturity of local hybrid layer chickens. The research conducted for 90 days and it used 128 chickens. This research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (RAL-F) composed by 4 treatments and 4 replications with 2 factors (chicken type and sex). Treatment P0 (control), P1 (95% fermented diet + 3% super worm + 2% grab shell flour), P2 (93% fermented diet + 3% super worm + 4% seaweed meal), P3 (91% fermented diet + 3% super worm + 2% grab shell flour + 4% seaweed meal). The parameters observed consisted of feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion and age of first laying hens. In conclusion that the provision of fermented diet was correlated with the type of chicken and sex with a very strong relationship and a positive direction of the relationship. It was clear that provision of fermented diet on chicken without having a negative influence on the performance and sexual maturity of superior laying local hybrid chickens.
