Artificial Intelligence for Research (AI4R): Knowledge Base and Impact
Artificial Intelligence for Research (AI4R) has recently emerged as the fifth research paradigm, exerting a significant impact across various fields. This paper aims to provide an overview of the current applications of AI4R, laying the groundwork for a knowledge framework that elucidates its components and characteristics. We will explore emerging research models enabled by AI4R, discuss tools developed through AI4R-based MAN-AI collaborations, and assess how these innovations have enhanced existing research capabilities. Finally, the paper identifies key trends driven by AI4R.
