Exploring Novel Horizons and Dimensions in Visual Representation and Interpretation as Transmedia Storytelling Through the Intersection of Photography and AI-Driven Generative Images: A Study
This research therefore seeks to map out new possibilities and avenues of visuality and visual analysis through a combination of the established photographic medium and generated images drawn from Artificial intelligence in transmedia narrative. As an extension of the study of photorealistic virtual media, this work explores how the incorporation of both AI and established photographic techniques further the potential confines of narrative and intensifies viewers' immersive attention across formats. Following a qualitative approach, the study employs three transmedia cases, visual content analysis, and interviews with creators and recipients. Some research findings show that AI provides a lot of creativity with mesh's rendition of images, which can be generated much more quickly as well as elaborate and inventive designs that alongside the realism of photography. Most people had positive responses-60% of them marked that visuals created by AI impacted positively their comprehension of the narrative. Also, the combined images of real and artificial photography also received high overall and creator and spectator perceptions as the effective means of telling complicated stories. But as pointed out, there were concerns with regards to audience reception and interactions including those that designers were forced to work with a deviation far from standard related icons. This was followed by ethical issues of power and control owning the literature where questions regarding who owns AI-generated work were raised. It is found in this research that the integration of photography and generative art based on artificial intelligence is progressing visualization, creating artistic opportunities while raising profound ethical implications. Subsequent studies should expand on such findings to establish more profound insights into the impact that AI application in various volumes of visual media will have on the future of storytelling and the creative industry as a whole.
