Raspberry Pi Controlled Automated Residential System with Integrated Alexa Voice Service

In recent years, home automation has witnessed significant advancements, with voice-controlled systems emerging as a popular choice due to their convenience and user-friendly interface. This proposed work aims to develop a Raspberry Pi-integrated AI bot for home automation, enhancing the user experience and functionality of smart homes. The proposed system leverages the capabilities of Raspberry Pi, a versatile single-board computer, to serve as the central hub for home automation. Integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms, the AI bot enables seamless interaction with various smart devices and appliances within the household. The proposed work begins with the design and implementation of the hardware setup, consisting of Raspberry Pi, compatible sensors, actuators, and communication modules. The software architecture includes developing custom scripts and applications to facilitate communication between the Raspberry Pi and connected devices. Central to the system’s functionality is the implementation of voice recognition and natural language understanding algorithms. These enable users to issue voice commands to the AI bot, which interprets the commands and triggers appropriate actions, such as controlling lights, adjusting room temperature, or managing security systems.
