Scheme development and experimental investigation of the cutting tool measurement method

The issues discussed in the article are related to the practical implementation of the cutting tool measurement method and experimental research in laboratory and close to production conditions. A measurement scheme has been developed to ensure the accuracy according to the method-specific conditions. With the experimental studies, concrete results have been obtained for the accuracy and the influence of the factors in their preparation. In order to evaluate in real conditions the accuracy that can be achieved with the measurement of the tool, an experiment was conducted, consisting in the processing of one installation of a part of rod material. The results obtained after measuring the sample surface with a micrometer and by touching it with the cutting tool are compared.
