Exploratory Data Analysis of NFL Player Performance and Impact of Age on Speed and Acceleration
This study examines the role of speed and agility in shaping player performance and game strategies in American football. By investigating the relationship between speed, acceleration, and age, the study uncovers trends that shed light on what makes players effective on the field. A comprehensive data analysis process, including preprocessing, feature extraction, and normalization, ensures a robust examination of these relationships. The findings highlight the complex dynamics between physical attributes and age, revealing insights into player development and performance dynamics. While offering valuable insights, the study also emphasizes the need for further investigation to account for outliers and refine the understanding of these critical performance factors. This study lays a solid foundation for improving how we evaluate and predict player potential, making a valuable contribution to performance analysis in football.
