Covid-19 detection from X-ray image using Deep learning and SVM
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a serious threat to world health. A precise and timely diagnosis is essential for successful treatment and containment. X-ray scans of the chest have become a promising method for COVID-19 early detection. This work suggests a novel method for extracting discriminative characteristics from X-ray scans by utilizing deep learning (DL),followed by classification using Support Vector Machines (SVM). By combining the robust feature extraction capabilities of deep learning models with the effectual classification power of SVM, we aim to develop a highly accurate and efficient COVID-19 detection system. This proposed method demonstrates promising results in accurately differentiating between COVID-19 +ve, COVID-19 -ve and pneumonia cases, offering a useful tool for healthcare experts. The proposed model shows the training accuracy of 98.72%, and test accuracy with 96.11% as the classification result.
