Design and Implementation of an Electronic Voting System Using Blockchain Technology

E-voting utilizes electronic systems to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and reliability of casting and counting votes compared to traditional paper-based methods. Blockchain integration into e-voting systems solves critical challenges such as data security, voter anonymity, and election transparency. This paper presents the design and implementation of an e-voting application that uses blockchain to improve the integrity and reliability of election processes. Developed using the Swift programming language, the application features secure user authentication, anonymous voting, and immutable vote storage on a private blockchain network. This research contributes to the growing knowledge body on blockchain applications beyond cryptocurrencies, offering practical insight into its implementation for secure digital governance. The findings underscore the potential of blockchain-based e-voting systems to modernize democratic processes while addressing usability and security issues.
