Digital ASIC Implementation of a 0.8-GHz Multi-Accelerator Computing Cluster Using Hammer Flow
Each new silicon process VLSI node brings significant changes to the RTL-to-GDSII Tcl backend flow, often requiring the manual rewriting of ASIC digital Tcl scripts from scratch. In this paper, we review the Hammer RTL-to-GDSII flow, a modular platform designed to reduce redundant efforts in writing new Tcl scripts when designers switch technology nodes or change EDA tool vendors. We highlight the key strengths of this flow and identify areas for improvement.
