Designing An Internet of Things Smart Device to Track Atmospheric Pollution Both Indoors and Outdoors
Air pollution, a growing concern in both indoor and outdoor environments, is driven by chemical, physical, and biological factors that disrupt the natural balance of the atmosphere. The study addresses the critical issue of air pollution, which arises from chemical, physical, or biological factors altering the atmosphere's composition, affecting both indoor and outdoor environments. In response to rapid industrialization, the research proposes a comprehensive system to monitor air quality using an IoT-based Arduino device. This system integrates sensors to measure air pollutants such as CO2, NOx, and PM2.5, alongside temperature and humidity levels. The data is securely transmitted to the IoT cloud via Blues Wireless Notehub's Wi-Fi module, allowing real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) analysis. Additionally, an indoor fire detector enhances safety by measuring indoor pollution levels and sounding alarms during fires. The proposed model offers a reliable, low-power solution for continuous air quality monitoring, making it a valuable tool for ensuring environmental safety.
