Comparison of IMC and Cross-Coupling Decoupling Current Regulation Structures in PMSM Drives
In this paper, two types of the current regulation in an electric drive with permanent magnet synchronous motor are analyzed. The first one is based on the principle of cross-coupling decoupling, and the second one is based on the concept of the internal model. The derivation of the equations and the synthesis of the parameters for the current PI controllers in the s-domain and z-domain are presented. The performance of both current regulation topologies were tested through computer simulations in permanent magnet synchronous motor drive.
