Comparative Study on Conventional Systems and IoT-Edge Based Systems in Healthcare
The integration of Edge Computing (EC) and the Internet of Things (IoT) offers a transformative approach to enhancing healthcare efficiency, particularly in real-time data processing and patient monitoring. By moving data computation near to the source, EC reduces bandwidth demands and latency, while IoT devices enable continuous, remote care. This study evaluates the impact of these technologies on patient outcomes, comparing them to conventional healthcare systems, and addressing challenges such as interoperability, privacy of data, and scalability. The results indicate that Edge-IoT solutions hold significant capabilities to bring revolutions for healthcare delivery, especially in response to global health crises.
