Research on significant factors of innovation performance of agile R&D team

Agile team structure is seen to be a significant factor influencing the success of agile team R&D initiatives. However, the effect of agile team structure on the effective development of agile projects has not been thoroughly investigated. In this study, 448 personnel working in agile R&D were polled using questionnaires to acquire important data for testing hypotheses about agile R&D team structure. The study’s findings confirm the agile R&D team structure model suggested in this work, demonstrating that the rationality of agile R&D team structure is mostly determined by role and skill, and that it has no effect on team innovation performance other than agile R&D ability. Task urgency moderates the relationship between agile R&D abilities and team innovation performance. The incentive mechanism regulates the rationality of agile team structure and innovation performance.
