Enhanced Primary Side Control Strategy in Dynamic Wireless Charging Systems for Electric Vehicles

The transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is pivotal in the global effort to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate climate change. As the automotive industry shifts towards zero-emission solutions, the infrastructure for efficient and convenient EV charging becomes increasingly critical. Traditional stationary charging methods present limitations, particularly in terms of convenience and charging efficiency. Dynamic Wireless Charging (DWC) systems emerge as a revolutionary approach, offering continuous power transfer to moving EVs, thereby extending driving ranges and reducing downtime. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the control strategies employed, their implementation, and their impact on the overall system performance. There is a critical need for data-driven approaches to enhance the flexibility and effectiveness of primary side control mechanisms in DWC systems. The results highlight the potential of dynamic wireless charging technology to implement the EV charging landscape.
