Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Strategy: A Theoretical Perspective
The research explores the extent to which Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies can be used to implement strategies for the Iraqi industrial factory. It will address critical challenges that may hinder the implementation of AI technologies in the Iraqi factory, such as insufficient data integration, high initial costs, lack of trained personnel, and the impact of organisational culture on productivity and operational efficiency. The research aims to answer one key question: To what extent can the issues hindering the implementation of the Iraqi factory strategy be identified and addressed using AI technologies?) This central question branches into several specific sub-questions, including the integration of AI with strategic implementation needs, the adequacy of available data, and the recognition of the importance of AI by senior management in the factory. The research methodology was developed based on a collection of research papers related to AI and its impact on the implementation of industrial factory strategies at both the Arab and Iraqi levels, relying on published literature available online and selecting the most relevant to the study topic, with a focus on literature published in English to ensure accuracy in the selection of information for the study. The researcher focused on studies and reports that dealt with the Iraqi industrial environment and similar environments, selecting the available ones to serve as sources of information and data for the study. The research reached several important findings, including the potential of AI technologies to support the management of the Iraqi factory to improve its overall performance, which in turn contributes to the development of the national economy and sustainable development in Iraq.
