Hemangiossarcoma em cadela
Hemangiosarcomas are malignant, aggressive, and highly metastatic neoplasms that originate from the endothelial cells of blood vessels. They are common in dogs, particularly in organs such as the spleen, liver, heart, and skin. The aim of this report is to describe the case of a six-year-old female Yorkshire Terrier treated at a private clinic in Belém do Pará, presenting only with abdominal distension and a below-average body condition score. The animal died one month later. At that point, it was already at a metastatic stage, with the intestinal loops being among the infiltrated organs. Hemangiosarcoma is a type of neoplasm that differs from others due to its highly invasive behavior and rapid spread to multiple organs.
